Well, you probably want to guess again ;-). I never have any such
problems, neither with a Web browser nor with an Info reader.

The FAQ lists several alternative Info readers, most of them graphical
ones, with buttons, colors, mouse, and what's not. Did you (or anyone
else who has problems with info.exe) try them?

Because they want instant access to the subject(s) they would
otherwise be looking for for a long time?

I don't want to convert anyone. If someone is happy using an HTML
browser, I'm happy for that person. Why do you think I make a point
of placing an HTML version of the FAQ into faqNNNb.zip?
What I did was ADVISE people to use an Info reader, because in my
experience Info readers are much more efficient in locating
information in an Info document. If you, or someone else, don't want
to follow that advice, it's fine with me. (If you want to put your
money where your mouth is and submit changes to info.exe that will
make it easier to use, it's even better.)
