From what you wrote here, I see 2 things that are wrongly written.. If
you just wrote it offhand, then I can't be of any help (besides telling
you to read the readme.1st and FAQ). OTOH, if you did a copy/paste from
your autoexec.bat, then you must correct those.

set Path=D:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
                     ^-- no trailing '\', and a ';' to separate
directories (and no space)
set DJGPP=D:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV
                  ^-- a '\', not a '`'

After rebooting, you should be able to run gcc.exe from anywhere, and it
should work.. If it still says it can't find DJGPP.ENV, type "set" at
the command prompt to see what the DJGPP variable is actually assigned
to, and fix it if it's wrong.
