GRX needs some patches to be able to compile on GCC 2.95 or later,
which changed how it implements inline assembly code.  When this
change affected Allegro, a patch for this was immediately rolled
into the Allegro stable distribution.

It's due to a lazy maintainer :-)

You'll need the shiftscl patch; check the archives of this forum.
If anyone has posted an updated shiftscl.c, please tell me so I
