This is a very common error when installing Allegro.. You're most likely
using the wrong make.exe... Either:
1) type it manually.. eg: C:\DJGPP\ALLEGRO\> C:\DJGPP\BIN\MAKE.EXE
2) change the order of your %PATH% settings as to put C:\DJGPP\BIN
before other compilers (such as Borland, Watcom, or others)..

If this doesn't work, read the Allegro FAQ (and the readme.1st, if not
already), it contains everything you will need to get started.
