Incidentally, there is a company (I forget its name) that is now
selling 1 GHz Athlon machines.  I think they use an overclocked 600 or
650 MHz chip, with some fancy (and expensive) cooling equipment to
keep it working at the higher clock.  Liquid nitrogen or something.
Apparently it works fine.
