I have a Athlon cpu with my computer and all i can say is that this
machine is blazingly fast. Especialy the floting points calculations

It trashes equivalent Intel chips by a long way. For ex a 500 mhz
Athlon can easily compete with a 600Mhz Intel. And the 700MHZ
Athlon Is the fastest cpu on the planet, It beats the best intel can
throw (the coppermine).

AMD promises that because of it's advanced architecture it can
extend the CPU speeds up to 1000MHZ (1GHZ) !. If so then this
should be a real killer and put that trash Intel out of buisness
(Thank God if this happens. Intel and M$ are the scourge of this
planet).

So If anyone is considering buying a new PC IMHO you should go
for the athlon as the chips are faster and a lot cheaper than Intel
ones. This is a positive gain in anyones equation.
