Normally they are type 0x05 in the partition table.
These are type 0x0F in the partition table....

hda3 is the extended partition, it is marked as 'Win95 Extended (LBA)'.
The ontrackd driver allows me to use all the partitions inside it
using DRDOS or MSDOS 6.x.
But DJGPP 1.x programs only run if it is not installed.

Yes.  It only affects 1.x-compiled programs.
