I have read through the FAQ (as best I can, for I am not a true
programmer), and I still have no answer to my question... so perhaps I
can recieve a solution here.
I am trying to make the djgpp command line staples, such as rm, ls, and
mkdir work with UNC, aka Microsoft's Universal Naming Convention.
The reason for this is due to the threading nature of a program I
wrote. I can easily exceed the maximum number of mapped drives
available to the OS, so UNCs are used to access server resourcers
without tying up a drive letter.
C:\djgpp\bin>rm \\ga016f95\sys\cla\shane\test
c:/djgpp/bin/rm: //ga016f95/sys/cla/shane/test: No such file or
directory (ENOENT)
Can these programs be molded to this? Have I possibly missed an update?
Thanks,
Shane Carroll
