Hi! With Ultraedit I use a project in which I include a batch file for compiling. There you can set the appropriate environment and the command-line for the compiler. It's most comfortable to invoke the batch-file from the 'Advanced'-Menu after configuring it as a tool (there you can define too, where you want the output). in my case that batch-file may look like that: call d:\dos\mydos.bat gcc -s -O2 -o test.exe test.c 'mydos.bat' I use to set an environment when I work from the dos-box. It includes the settings for djgpp (path to the binaries and the djgpp-variable). May sound complicated, but in practice i find it quite simple and it WORKS. btw Ultraedit is not very practical when you have to use special characters which are not the same in windows and dos, although it offers OEM/ANSI-conversion. Hope this helps!
