Ah, smartdrv. I never ever used to use it in my DOS setups. Never. It always
clashed with something else I was using that was more usefule, it that makes
sense :-)

Wild guess: headers, in particular X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express

I don't like Outlook all that much. It does stupid things like appending file:
to the start of C++ comments. Example:

file://comment!!!!

Hehe. I have to stick to C comments when posting code snippets.
