This may well be a large part of your problem.  As I understand it, to
run DJGPP on NT you must use an unzipper that does NOT understand long
filenames (DJ has one, I believe) so that all of the files have
truncated 8.3 names.

There is *no* long filename support in an NT DOS box, so you must
follow the instructions as if you had a non-Win95 DOS box, and use
only 8.3 names.
