Hello,

Currently I try to split my Main-Workstation (Dos622, WfW311,
DR-Dos703, Debian-Linux21 and DJGPP) in three seperatly Computers.

While Programming I have sometimes many trouble and I had lost files.

Curently I have following Installation on my Workstation

PPro200 2x512MB of Ram and a IBM DAQA 33240

hda1 c Dos6.22/WfW 3.11 250 MB
hda2 d Dr-Dos703/DJGPP 250 MB
hda3 Linux Haupt-Partition 1500 MB
hda4 Linux SWAP 100 MB
hda5 Linux USER 995 MB

Now I have some questions for my NEW DJGPP-Station:

I like to use a Conner CFP 540 A with following partitions

c: DR-Dos 7.03 + DJGPP (plain Dos and C) 250 MB
d: TEMP 100 MB
e: USER (All the compiled Stuff and Docs) 170 MB

Is this OK ???

I have this question, because on my Main-Workstation
I have lost files while SCANDISK and DEFRAG.

Is there a director which have many trouble like the TEMP,
which I put an a seperatly Partition ??? Are 100 MB for TEMP enough ???

I think, I have lost files, because there ist too much trouble
on my Drive. ...and I must reboot my machine 10 time a day (Dos/Win/Lin)

Are there are some other Directorys where files will be changed,
created, deleted, ... ???

Thanks in advance
Michelle
