I went to CPAN (http://www.cpan.org/) from home last night and
following the links for ports and MS-DOS.  Sure enough, there was
the DJGPP port of Perl 5.005_03 by Laszlo
(http://www.perl.com/CPAN/ports/msdos/LMOLNAR/) that I have been
too confused to look for until now -- Doh!  I downloaded and
unzipped it, moved all the stuff into my /fsf tree (being careful
to keep /fsf/lib/perl5/site), and everything seemed okay with brief
testing (Bash, Sambar).  I'm repeating the process at work today.


The docs state that it should be able to build modules off CPAN, so
I'm wondering if I should give Device::SerialPort a shot, or dig
into BCSerio?
