I didn't notice such behaviour and I suspect some problem with gcc
installation. 

I suggest compiling example with option -v

	gcc -v hello.c -o hello.exe

and post output here. For example

	redir -eo gcc -v hello.c -o hello.exe >hello.log

and the file hello.log will contain information You should send.
