    While that is technically true, most people don't use Emacs
'out-of-the-box'.  I personally find the default setup very
un-user-friendly.  I always use pc-select mode and various other stuff.  I
know that it is unlikely that anyone would change the default settings
(because there are people [and documentation] out there that expect it).
But, I'd say it was rare that you'd find someone who understood eLisp and
didn't do lots of configuring.
