Neither RHIDE or Emacs are difficult to set up, albeit Emacs is a bit of a learning curve
to use if you've never had experience with it.
RHIDE, on the other hand, is one of the simplest editors to set up that I've ever seen,
and it has some nice features (although I don't use it).
