It is impossible to disprove that statement, since I am not familiar with 
every compiler in the world.

But a moment's thought will show that it is unlikely to be true. if ... 
else if ... else if statements are not nested if's. A chain of a million 
of them is no more complex than a chain of two, and should provide no 
more difficulty to any compiler.
