I'm planning to write for DOS using C, but really a 98 DOS-box.
I wrote a short 'hello world' program and didn't have any problems.
I've looked through the FAQ, but I couldn't(or didn't understand) the
answers I'm looking for.
1. Compiling so I can debug with viewing code and assembly at once. (I
think I need an object file and have to link it. Can
someone help me here??
2. What compiler options should I use for Pentium + systems?? I found a
menu in RHIDE that had optimizations -- so I clicked them all.
3. I could probably put more questions here, but I have not thought of
them yet :) If you have any tips though, they would be greatly
appreciated.
I'm rather excited right now. I've been wanting a 32-bit C compiler that
work with DOS. I want to increase my little C knowledge, but VC++ or
Borland C++ builder only let you do console apps, unless you want to learn
MFC, or Direct X, or something else to do anything fun :( I'm happy to
take baby-steps right now....
Thanks again for any replies....
