Try making monster_ai_attack() a friend.
Or try passing a pointer to monster to the function (although then you'll have
to make hitpoints public). Then you could just set up an inline function that
calls 'ai' with 'this'.

 Sorry, I can't try these out on this computer ( which is also why I'm using
AOL ;-) ) so I can't guarantee these will work.
