I save them "name.c" in notepad. What am i doing wrong. Help i cant >write any programms, it wont let me. Please help Don't use Notepad to edit your source code. It will append a ".txt" extension on your file even if you put a ".c" extension on it. So you will wind up with a file named "name.c.txt". If you don't have "Show filename extensions" checked in your Explorer options, you won't see it. You can get Notepad to save a filename as you typed it if you set the file type dropdown list to "All Types (*.*)" before you type in the filename, but that's too much of a hassle. Use a real editor like PFE or something, if you don't want to use RHIDE. jdm
