Almost. libgcc1.a is only one half of libgcc.a, so it might cause
problems if we supplied a full libgcc.a, pretending it's just the
portion that would be built as libgcc1.a, normally.
It's been a while since I last tried this myself, but Ithink the real
trick was to fix the configuration files in the gcc sources to disable gcc
trying to build libgcc.a at all, but just let it use a supplied libgcc.a
as is.
