Subject: Help - Is there a library for handling dbf files?
Date: Tuesday, May 04, 1999 12:06 PM

Also I need to convert the .ttf files of my language fonts to the format
allegro library can use. I donot understand how to use ttf2pcx and grabber
utility combination.
Help please ..

This is quite easy - go to windows paint and draw a grid on the screen,
against a black background:

:-----:----:...
: : :
:-----:----:...

Now, just place every character of the ttf font in these cells, in ASCII
table sequence - look at any ascii table to find the sequence, moving from
the top left cell to the bottom right. Save this file and load it into the
grabber as a font - I do not know how this will apply to tamil though.

- Raw text -
