This sort of routine works very differently in protected mode, so you
will need to do much more work than just converting the asm format:
basically you have to understand what it is trying to do, and then
rewrite it in a protected mode style. The djgpp FAQ has lots of
information about how to write to video memory. But you probably don't
need to bother, because there are libc functions that can do all this
stuff for you: see "info libc func conio".
