See section 22.8 of the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq211b.zip from the same
place you get DJGPP), it gives some pointers for this.

Also, you might consider searching the mail-archives for related 
messages, I think some useful URL that isn't yet in the FAQ was posted 
here a few months ago.  The DJGPP mail archives are accessible at
