I was hoping someone else might have done so already. My searches had
already come up blank, though, so the hope was already fading when I
posted here.

Yes, but it changes the size of the font to match the size of the window.
The number of columns and rows seems to be unaffected. With xterm, the
font size stays constant and the number of rows and columns vary, which I
find more useful.
