You shouldn't have changed autoexec.bat. Just copying cwsdpmi.exe to
some directory that is in the PATH is completely enough.
DJGPP-compiled programs will search for it there, find it, and start
it automatically, if no DPMI server is already running.

Not with CWSPDMI, but there is another one (PMODE/DJ) that can be put
into the executable. It has other drawbacks, though.
