I know that, but there's more to it than jsut that. It is near to impossible
to get to dos w/ the setup they are now forcing us to use, plus the fact that
the only way I have half a chance of them letting me use DJGPP is if I use
standalone machines, not connected to their precious network that goes down so
often. I use DJGPP in Win98 at home, and it works fine. What I am being told
by the teacher of the C++ course is that MS Windows is what I have to use, and
all that is allowed. Also, in VB & VC++, the interface is heavily stressed,
and you can often spend as much time building an interface as writing the
code, then making sure that all the dialogs are linked to the right variables.
It seems to me to be a total mess, and I am hoping to be able to next year use
DJGPP. Still that will probably require that I have no connection to the
network, and no network at all, jsut because of their stupid insistence on M$
Windoze.
