Please don't overlook FreeDOS; it's come a long way in the past few
months.  The latest kernel release (2006) will even work with bash
(well, mostly).  If you're looking to cut that last tie to M$, what
more could you ask for than a C-based, hackable DOS kernel...?  Go
get a copy and help squash the last few bugs.
