ah hah.  so i'm not an insane moron.  thankyou.  so this was most likely
overlooked, since someone posted a message saying that this bug was
corrected in the latest library.  (which i have yet to download.)

kind of an important bug, you know? although tmpfile() probably isn't used
much.
