Please do, but be sure to check that non-empty files aren't deleted.  
It's not trivial to find out the true size of the file which was just 
been written to, so caveat emptor.

Perhaps a better idea is to check whether there's *any* information about 
changed names inside the data structure maintained by DJTAR, and only 
open the file if there's actually something to write.
