I am using a Compaq LTE5280 laptop computer. It uses an ESS Audiodrive for built-in music. When I use allegro to play any digital sound files (or digital midi), it sounds like it's come out a little high-pitched, though Windows sound comes out fine. Standard midi synth sounds normal too. I tried manual configuration using SETUP, but that did not seem to help out too much. Is this a known bug, or is my computer an odd one (I'll accept that). -- "DeHackEd" My Email address in the header is fake (spammers).
