I am using DJGPP with longname.exe beta 3 of DR-DOS 7. Though I use the maximum
number of search handles (64), I still run out of handles whenever I try to
execute a longer configure script or makefile. It seems that programs that have
been compiled with DJGPP do not close unused search handles.
According to Joe Forster, the author of lfndos, he has encountered a similar
problem with lfndos and DJGPP-compiled programs, so there is possibly a bug in
the long filename support of DJGPP.
