I have an interesting issue (not a problem) when running Allegro programs
that use 16 bit hicolor on my 4meg AGP trident card:

If I keep the dos box in Windoze's "window" mode - i. e. I run the
particular program in windows 16 bit color, it switched to text then to the
allegro program itself this works fine. Sometimes tho (varies between 3 or
4 times) when the Allegro program exists it solidly crashes windows,
requireing a  reset or reboot.

Any idea why? THe whole shebang worx 100% if the DOS box is in full screen
TEXT mode. The weirdest is - why does it work 3 or 4 times (sometimes 5 if
I am lucky (!)) and then crash, and why not just crash the first time?!
