Is the DJGPP 'new' thread-safe already, or should someone developing a
threading library for DJGPP wrap 'new' to be thread-safe?

Is the GCC 'new' thread-safe on all systems with system level support for
multitasking and multithreading?

Is the same true for delete, malloc, and free?

What is the re-entrancy situation with other standard C library functions,
and with the STL and iostreams? (Both for DJGPP and other GCC deployments.)
