I have no problems using DJGPP in a Win95 DOS box. My program writes
samples to the Soundblaster's IO port, simply by blasting the bytes at
it one by one, I haven't got DMA figured out yet. Obviously it sounds
terrible, and the timing waves all over the place, but I get about
10,000 samples a second through it, and each one of those is 2 or 3 IO
writes. This is on a 486DX4/100 on the ISA bus.

If a Windows program tries to use the sound card, and my program
claimed it first, the Windows one just reports the device isn't
available. If Windows is using it when I start my prog, my prog
doesn't go anywhere, I think Windows might be blocking it. Anyway you
shouldn't have problems, Windows is quite good with it.

to the outwardly camp stuart miles, speech impediment Katy Hill and nothing
upstairs Konnie Huq, he was a true professional. Heh heh heh.
