Hi!

I'm (relatively) new to C/C++, and (extremely) new to win32 programming.
I have significant experience with Fortran (yes, yes, I know...) and
some experience with Mac (yes, yes, I know...) interface programming
I'm trying to set up RSXNTDJ so I can learn win32.

I've installed DJGCC (v2.8.1) and successfully compiled and run simple
programs using RHIDE (Running Win95). But I'm unable to get RSXNTDJ
(V1.3.1) to work. I followed the instructions for installing in the
RSXNTDJ Help files - replaced the linker, modified the PATH, modified
the SPECS file, set the RSXNTDJ environment and replaced
\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV.

However, when I run the simple test 'GCC -v', I don't get the indicated
message about reading the specs from the \rsxntdj\lib\specs; instead I'm
told that it's using the builtin specs. Then if I try to compile a
simple program using 'gcc -Zwin32 test.c -o test.exe' it tells me than
-Zwin32 is an unrecognized option, and that there's an installation
problem, cannot exec 'cpp'.

The commands I put in my autoexec.bat are as follows:

set DJGPP=D:\COMPILERS\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV
set RSXNTDJ=D:\COMPILERS\DJGPP\RSXNTDJ
set PATH=D:\COMPILERS\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
set PATH=%PATH%;D:\COMPILERS\DJGPP\RSXNTDJ\BIN

and I used the path D:\COMPILERS\DJGPP\RSXNTDJ... in modifying the specs
file.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!!!

Doug
