1) RCS checks out as read-only in some cases. That's a very well documented 
feature. You must read about strict mode, etc, etc. I tried the RCS port to 
djgpp and works OK. I don't use it because I think RCS is for one file and 
the multifiles solution is CVS.

2) CVS port to djgpp have bugs, it doesn't crash in my system but generates 
files in UNIX format, imports files in DOS format, etc, etc. I use a fixed 
version. And I can share a repository between my DOS and Linux partitions.
