Eli:
Thanks for the response (as well as the previous response on my post on using
the make utility under NT) on the v2 port of GDB for DJGPP v2. I have LFN=y
in djgpp.env. I have not encountered any problems with LFN with my current
configuration. I understood that this would enable the use of LFN, however
you suggested that I change it to LFN=n. Was this a typo--or did I
misunderstand something? In either case, I will try it.
I also looked at GDB 4.17 from the GNU site to see if DJGPP was supported. It
appears as though there is some support for DJGPP (the configure script
detects i386-pc-msdosdjgpp as a host), however the configure script eventually
dies when a symbolic link is attempted.
I don't have a great amount of time (as I am sure many don't) to devote to
working on a port for DJGPP v2. To do so would be a side trip from my current
project. However, I would like to contribute to the great work that many are
doing to support this incredible environment, and I will consider doing so.
To Mr. Delorie:
I would like to thank you for all of your work in providing such a great
development environment.
Regards
Jon
