Tip: you are probably overwriting some buffer that you get from
previous calls to malloc/calloc.

Advice: get the latest version of the FAQ (v2/faq211b.zip from the
same place you got DJGPP) and read section 12.2 there.  It explains
how to begin debugging such problems.
