Basically I want to find out where I can get hold of TCP/IP connection
source code, I know that linux is free source and I wonder if I can download
a RAW copy in some way shape or form.

also.

I know linux and Unix have gcc, g++, gxx compilers, are these all the
"standard" compilers used in linux development?
