Well, gcc is very close to djgpp. What exactly is the question? Will MS
C7.0 source compile under djgpp?

I am not familiar with the book, but you may be in for a rough ride.
Many of the older 'programming games ....' type books target 16 bit DOS,
and use all sorts of inline assembly hacks that will need to be reworked
for 32bit pmode.
