I've checked FAQs and other documentation, and other posting on this newsgroup, and I haven't seen this problem reported (though I may have missed it): why is it that when I've tried to run the compiled examples provided with Allegro in a DOS box under Win98, I usually, but not for every example, get the error message "Program too big to fit in memory." The few that do run properly are in some cases larger than ones that won't. Also, in the case of the fixed point math demo, I get an illegal operation message. Thanks in advance from an obvious beginner.
