I don't know about your C++ woes.  But as far as running another program I might
have an answer
I have not tested this in DJGPP, but in normal C you would use the system()
command.
It is in the stdlib.h file and would to use it just type the command with
arguments in between the parentheses on system.  Also the command MUST have
quotes around it.
Don't know if this will work, but I hope it helps.
