No, cpp is the pre-processor (the one which handles #define, #include,
etc.).

You didn't run for the documentation. ;-)

Please download the DJGPP FAQ list (v2/faq211b.zip) from the same
place you got DJGPP and read section 6.5 there.  It describes the
common reasons for these problems.
