Do a web search for "Coronado C tutorial" - it's pretty good. When you've
mastered basic C, the best free C++ tutorial I've come across is "C++
Annotations". I don't know the site for that either, but a web search should
do the trick too.

Allegro is a graphics library which does what you want. You can download it
