It supports long file names on Windows 9X, but not on Windows NT, because 
NT doesn't provide the LFN API used by DJGPP programs to access long names.

You didn't tell which version of Windows did you use, but if that was 
95/98, Bash should support long names, as all other DJGPP programs do.
