RHIDE does this only, if your project contains C++
source files and if this is so there should be no
problem at all because the linker is smart enough
to link in your program only the needed from code
from libstdcxx.a, if there is no code needed, nothing
is linked in.

But, to answer your first question, add the following
line to your rhide.env file

RHIDE_TYPED_LIBS.cc=
