Me too, for a reasonable while.  After the new package has been in
general use and it seems OK, the old ones need to be deleted (1) to
save space, and (2) to make sure new users get the right version.

If you want to keep old versions around for your own use, go ahead,
but I don't think it's nice of us to use up Simtel's FTP space just
for convenience.
