I am having the same problem,
RHIDE doesn't understand that I changed a file,
I have to delete all the .o and recompile  link  it.

I use RHIDE 1.6.5; also I am having problems with the 'undo' 
function, someimes it 'undo' deleted text but in random locations.
I always run t udner Windows98.
