Good idea, I'll give it a try--Indeed, 99% of the screen is drawn with
something or other.

Yeah, I read it alright, over and over.  It still didn't answer my questions,
though!

I agree.  I think that the government should run all hardware companies out of
business and setup a single company that made all of the hardware according to
a single standard, and, for free, distribute constantly upgraded machines to
every household in America (to taxpaying citizens, of course...at least THAT
would inspire me to pay taxes!)

This would make a programmer's life a joy.
